The cropping in this set is beautiful. All the close crops are just gorgeous! And the colouring, with the muted tones and gritty texture work, it looks so fantastic and cohesive!

I really, really love everything about Silhouette. The composition is really incredible, the texture work flows so beautifully with the repeated images and text, it creates the most amazing 'wormhole' effect! Hug is gorgeous - the close crop here is magic and the colouring is beautiful. I think the contrast is spot on as well, and creates such a strong focus in the icon. Hair again, has such a spectacular crop, and the mixture of colours in the icon allow the focus to be clear as well!

The negative space and beautiful, rich tones in the fifth category icon are absolutely gorgeous - I love the intensity of the greens and how the characters pop out wonderfully against the background. AC#3 is stunning, absolutely gorgeous contrast (with the slightly under-contrasted tones working so well) and perfect crop. And the text in AC#5 is magic. Gorgeous placement and love the contrast between size and colour!

wow, thank you so much so fantastic comments :) I am very glad that you like silhouette, I plan that icon so long :D I don't know why but some reason silhouette are always hard for me. And great that you liked muted tones and gritty texture use, I try to work grunge style/muted tones a lot :) And yay, I am so happy that you like AC5, also.Text is something I also try to practice these days. Thanks!! :)

I love very much the grunge style of these icons. It's perfect.
I liked most angst, hug, hair, shy, tiny text, cat 1/5 and ac 2/4.

Well, raiindust pretty much said what I intended to say but I 1000% agree about the cropping and the grunge in this set - both are just all kinds of awesome :) It does look like a really cohesive set, yet still has definitely some interesting diversity to it (some really creative icons, and some elegantly minimal ones).

My top favorite is definitely Silhouette, the composition is just perfect, so unique and gorgeous, it has this awesome modern art feel to it that makes it really cool and awesome. Everything works so perfectly together - the texture use, the text, the silhouettes, and I really adore how you rotated one of them. Gorgeous, creative and inspiring icon in every way!!

Elegant is really amazing, I especially dig the clean negative space, the text and the coloring (the turquoise of his jacket pops gorgeously). The sharpness is spot on too and all the details nicely preserved, and the cutout looks really clean and good to me.

I also really love everything about Hair. The crop is really unique and poignant, and the lighting and coloring are just sublime - I really really love the light yellow in his hair and the muted, sandy tones in the whole icon. Gorgeous! ^^

Love the way you played with the text in the category set - really bold and creative! My favorites of them are probably cat3 (really love the scribbly font, the blocking and especially the combination of two contrasting monochromes, it adds so much to the overall look!) and cat5 (love the wide crop and all the greens), but I really dig the text in all of them, especially the boldness of cat1.

The close-cropped ones are fantastic as well - I particularly love the crops and grunginess of Comfort, Hug, cat4 and the whole ac set. It's really impossible to pick between the acs, they all work wonderfully, perhaps #3 might be my very favorite of them cause the curves and lines of their almost hidden faces form such a perfect, beautiful composition, but I also really adore the coloring, contrast and lighting of #4 and the muted turquoise and out-of-focus Katniss vs in-focus-but-almost-hidden Peeta in #5, and the way the focus is on the text yet it still fits and blends nicely with the image (great color choices to support that! Love the whole text composition, especially the variance in size and color).

Great set! (I should probably watch THG at some point...)

okay, so this post kind of knocks me off my ass O__o I can't get over what interesting and unique crops and colorings you went with in this batch.. it all works so perfectly, especially with this couple/movie. The greeny and neutral, pale colorings kind of give the icons an organic feel and make them so eyecatching. Hunger Games icons tend to be oversaturated, so these are just something lovely and fresh! and I do have to say that comfort, hug and hair are honestly some of the most beautiful crops I've ever seen <3 and I also love that you challenged yourself with text, which I can't do to save my life ;)
