These are for the 43rd round of
character20n20 and my claim was Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.In the 'Love' theme we had to icon the reason we love the character we chose. For me that is her growth into a great confident leader/Khaleeshi :)

Date: 2013-03-22 09:30 am (UTC)In the Daenerys set, I think you've showcased your use of light so wonderfully in Love and AC#5. The yellow tones in both are beautiful, and the simple lighting just seems to draw everything together beautifully. I especially love the intense crop in AC#5, the wide crop works so beautifully. I'm also completely in love with Alone, because the muted dark tones are so wonderfully intense and create such a strong emotion. The lighting here is amazing as well.

Date: 2013-03-23 06:19 pm (UTC)I love the natural coloring and the blend in 1, Dany looks really well cut out and the contrats in the sizes and crops makes for really interesting composition! Love the wolf detail in 2 and the lighting and warmth in 4. 6 has awesome grunginess to it, really digging the texture use, and the composition of 7 is really great as well as the intense yellows.
'This is sparta' is my favorite from the inspired sets, I really love all five of those icons! The strong monochrome + the white gun silhouette create a really powerful, eye-catching look in 11, while 12 has a really gorgeous minimalism to it and lovely greys. And 13 was inspired by my icon, aw, I'm really flattered and you did a fantastic job with it :) 14 has some reeeally stunning coloring and texture use going on, and the whole look of 15 is just so well executed and creative, love the overlapping texture.
Aw, DW icons!! 17 is probably my favorite individual icon in this post, the texture use is really gorgeous and it’s a really captivating icon that I love more the more I keep staring at it; the combination of the fire orange and her cyan shirt is really gorgeous and eye-catching. Incredible icon in every way! ♥ I also really dig the composition/framing in 20.
The Dany set is gorgeous too, I love all the texture use and lighting and how bright everything is :) I really adore the lighting and coloring in Dramatic lighting, Love, Tragic, ac1 and ac5. These all have lovely depth to them, and ac5 in particular looks really flawless in every way, the wide crop and the symmetry in the image look just so great, and it has just spot on contrast and brightness too. ac1 and Love also have gorgeous texture use!
Movie title has lovely lighting as well, and Paramore looks great and really creative and interesting, love the smoky looks and the icy colors! Weakness is probably my favorite of the themes though, since I'm a big fan of framey, geometry stuff, and the combination of muted/pale Dany and the intense background is really interesting :>
So much good stuff in the cat set too - colorblocking!! ♥ That one is really fantastic and I’d take it in a heartbeat if I was more into GOT atm. The composition is amazing and I love how colorful it is. Love the composition of Complex and Curved text, as well as the crop in Close crop and the bright limes and cyans in Colorful.
aaand the ac set is really great too, I already rambled about my love for 1 and 5 but the others are lovely too, love the texturing/framing in 3 and 4 and the classic negative space look and the coloring in 2 :)
Awesome job with both sets!
